Founded by former Director of Concept Design/Concept Development at Walt Disney Imagineering, Christian Hope heads this uniquely talented collaborative of artists, design associates and managers who share a passion for innovative thinking and the design process. This passion has made 31Thirteen Studio a go-to creative resource for Universal Studios, Paramount Parks & Resorts, Twentieth Century Fox, Samsung, The Walt Disney Company and many others.


With nearly 30 years of experience creating world-class attractions for Universal Studios, Samsung, Sanrio, Paramount Parks International and The Walt Disney Company, Christian’s expertise lies in his unique understanding of bringing disparate disciplines together to create one-of-a-kind location based entertainment. Mr. Hope has been responsible for directing the creative and aesthetic development of many successful attractions across the planet. Projects include Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Sanrio’s Puroland, Knott’s Theme Park and Disneyland attractions in California, Florida, Paris and Hong Kong. From resort and theme park master planning to attractions development and entertainment design, Mr. Hope’s current projects span the globe from Hong Kong to Paris, and Hollywood to Dubai.











In addition to his "Idea Workshop" series with the Idea Resource Systems Group, Christian has guest lectured at Stanford University and taught concept development and entertainment design at the Art Center College in Pasadena, California. Several publications have featured his work and unique perspectives on the process and people he works with.
